Air balancing

HVAC Air and Water flow Testing, Adjusting and Balancing (TAB):

These processes of evaluating air/water flow and environmental control systems ensure that heating or cooling systems go according to the design specifications at the equipments best level of efficiency. 



Our TAB team provide the testing, adjusting & balancing of all different types of HVAC equipment. We have experience in a variety of commercial buildings, including hospitals, laboratories, schools, museums, office buildings, multi-story high rise buildings and shopping centres. All our equipment are externally calibrated and maintained at a high standard to ensure accurate test results are provided to our clients.

Testing

Testing establishes the quantitative aspects of the HVAC system, such as the volume of air/water flow that’s being produced from the fan/pump

Adjusting

Adjusting makes changes and alterations to system components so that the amount of air/water flow is achieved according to design requirements and indoor comfort needs. This involves changing temperature settings, regulating a damper/valve, increasing or reducing fan/pump speeds or making other changes that affect system function.

Balancing

Balancing ensures that proportional air/water flow are equalised among all terminals and branches of the system. 

Includes

  • Air total flow testing from the HVAC units ( AHUs, Fans, HRUs & FCUs)
  • Amount of air flow through the ductwork to the terminals.
  • Pressure test, including static pressure, differential pressure and total pressure
  • Air temperature, humidity and Co2 level.
  • Fan operation, including motor amperage, voltage & RPM.
  • Proper operation and sequencing of automatic control systems including calibrating VAVs, CAVs, pressure & velocity sensor.
  • Water total flow testing from the HVAC units ( pumps, Chillers & Cooling towers)
  • pumps, Chillers & Cooling towers performance tests.
